Bataan First District Board Member Tony Roman profusely thanked GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co (GMEC) for initiating the Baka1Bataan mangrove propagation project in Orani.
“On behalf of the LGU of the province of Bataan, kami po ay lubos na nagpapasalamat sa GMEC dahil sa kanilang initiative to improve the mangrove areas dito sa Sitio Pulo”, said the board member who is from Barangay Pag-asa, Orani. “We are excited to have more projects together and we commend the good hearts behind your organization”, he added.
The board member joined the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the project with GMEC AVP for Community Relations Arcel Madrid, PENRO Raul Mamac, and PGENRO OIC Raphael De Leon on September 8 at Sitio Pulo, Barangay Kabalutan.
The GMEC’s Baka1Bataan project is in partnership with the provincial government of Bataan, municipality of Orani, Department of Environment and Natural Resources Bataan, and Tubo-Tubo Fisherfolks Association. The power company provided a P7million fund for the five-year project.
